According to All India Bullion Association, gold prices hit a new high in the domestic market on Thursday amid continued buying by jewelers and stockists.Gold rose by Rs 800 to hit a new peak of Rs 1,47,300 per 10 gram (including all taxes), registering its fifth consecutive session of gains. In the previous session, the yellow metal had closed at Rs 1,46,500 per 10 grams.Since the beginning of 2026, gold prices have gained Rs 9,600 or about 7 per cent due to sustained demand in the physical market. In foreign trade, spot gold slipped $12.22, or 0.26 per cent, to $4,614.45 an ounce, after touching a record high of $4,643.06 an ounce in the previous session.Today gold price in major Indian cities is as follows:
