Rashid Khan | Afghanistan Captain – For us it was very important to win a series before the World Cup. Winning gives you more confidence and energy, but we still got a lot of positive things in the areas we wanted to improve. And that was much more enjoyable than winning the series. For us, reaching the World Cup is a huge preparation. Today we had the opportunity to see how we are going to chase the totals, whatever the total is, how we are going to go, how calm we are. Looking ahead to the World Cup, the same conditions to chase 150 or 160, how are we going to chase it as a team. These things happen, there is a lot to learn from them, you work on it and think about how we are going to come back as a team to chase the total. We need to improve in some areas, we have to stay consistent and do it again and again. In the death overs we can be much better. We cannot give 40-50 runs in the last 3 overs. Also in the last match we conceded 60 runs in the last 4 overs. That is the area we need to improve. It makes me happy to see players advance in different periods. Everyone is contributing. The way we played was exceptional, the high catches were good and the players were very well supported. The field was special in the last 3 games, it is good to go to the World Cup with so much confidence. (Thanks to the local Pashto language crowd).
