Villa can recover at home
Aston Villa have failed to win their last two Premier League games, but should pick up three points at home against Brighton.
The Villans were in fantastic form before their recent slump and won eight of their 12 home league games, while the Seagulls have dropped to 14th place with just two wins in 12 away games.
Albion are winless in four games and have not won away from home in the league since November.

Clarets should struggle at Selhurst Park
Crystal Palace enjoyed a confidence-boosting victory over Brighton on Sunday, but Burnley’s position looks increasingly bleak and the 19th-placed side could suffer their 17th league defeat of the season at Selhurst Park.
Palace haven’t enjoyed much of a home advantage this season, with six of their eight league wins away from home, but this is one of their easiest games of the season on paper and they can extend Burnley’s winless run in the league stretching back to October.

Peasants can get on the record
Manchester City and Fulham combined to score nine goals in their first league meeting this season, so it may not be too much to ask them to register at least one each at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday.
City, who turned their fortunes around in Sunday’s game at Anfield to beat Liverpool 2-1, won 5-4 at Craven Cottage in a midweek match in December and both teams have scored in each of their last three games.
There have been goals from both teams in seven of Fulham’s last eight games and that trend can continue.

The forest can emphasize the extent of wolves’ struggles
Nottingham Forest are 17th in the Premier League and are technically the team Wolves must target to escape the relegation zone.
This seems a distant prospect as Forest are still 18 points clear of their visitors on Wednesday, having won seven times as many league games as them.
With eight days to go until the next game, Sean Dyche’s team can afford to go for three points as they try to stay clear of the bottom three.

The Black Cats could maintain their undefeated record at home
Sunderland own the only remaining unbeaten home record in the Premier League and are capable of picking up at least a point against Liverpool at the Stadium of Light.
Not only did the Reds suffer a cruel defeat as Manchester City came from behind to win 2-1 at Anfield on Sunday, but they also lost the services of star Dominik Szoboszlai for this match due to his late red card.
Sunderland would go level on points with Arne Slot’s team if they win and with the Reds having won just four of their 12 away league games, it is worth backing the home team to avoid defeat.
