Weather Warning: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) stated that Delhi is likely to experience a hazy day today with the minimum temperature dropping to 11 degrees Celsius at night. The weather across northern India, including Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, is expected to remain mostly dry this week.
Weather warning: Residents of Delhi and the neighboring National Capital Region (NCR) woke up to another warmer morning on Wednesday. The maximum temperature was recorded around 26 degrees Celsius, while at night the minimum temperature is likely to drop to 11 degrees Celsius. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the capital city is expected to witness a hazy day today. The weather across northern India, including Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, is expected to remain mostly dry this week. The meteorological department stated that a slight drop in temperature is also expected in the coming days as colder northerly winds return to parts of northern India.
Weather in Delhi
According to the meteorological department, the capital is expected to witness a foggy day today. The sunlight is expected to provide relief from the harsh winters of Delhiites. Warmer days are approaching and daytime temperatures are expected to rise by 12 to 13 degrees Celsius. The IMD has issued a warning.
“There will be no major change in minimum temperatures during the next 7 days. Accordingly, minimum temperatures are likely to be normal (-1.5°C to 1.5°C) during the next 7 days. Mainly clear sky during the next 7 days, except for February 14, when the sky is likely to be partly cloudy. Fog during morning hours during the next 7 days,” the IMD said.

Dry climate in northern India
Most parts of the country, including northern India, will experience dry weather. Limited rain is expected in mountainous regions. Hilly states like Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand may witness light snowfall in some parts.
In Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Punjab, the sky is expected to remain clear with no signs of fog. Rains are expected in isolated areas of Punjab, Haryana and western Uttar Pradesh.
Colder winds from the mountainous states are expected to hit the northern states of India, causing a noticeable drop in temperatures.
Weather in central India
Central Indian states including Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh and Odisha will witness dry weather. A slight humidity will also persist with less cold.
The weather in Jharkhand and West Bengal will remain mostly stable and dry without weather advisories.
