Meanwhile, the state capital Lucknow managed to beat the trend, recording a maximum temperature of 28.9°C (about 2.1°C above normal), while the minimum temperature remained at 12.6°C.

In contrast, nighttime temperatures remained relatively moderate, generally ranging between 9°C and 14°C. Banda (9.2°C) and Bahraich (10.4°C) are among the coldest places.

Relative humidity ranged from 33% to 93% as no precipitation was recorded across the state during the observation period through Monday night.

The days to come

The meteorological department predicted clear skies with fog during the night and morning, and dry weather in most parts of the state.

However, due to changing weather conditions and the influence of an approaching western disturbance, minimum temperatures are expected to rise by 2-3°C over the next two to three days, leading to warmer nights.

The temperature is expected to drop by the same amount over the next two to three days, followed by a further rise in temperature thereafter.

Meanwhile, western Uttar Pradesh could witness isolated light rain on Tuesday, although no major change in maximum temperatures is expected immediately.

Weather experts maintain that the current trend indicates a gradual transition toward warmer conditions across the state in the coming days.
