According to Bombay Times, ‘Assi’ starring Taapsee, Kani Kusruti, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub and Kumud Mishra is coming to the OTT platform after its theatrical release. Reports indicate that the courtroom drama will premiere on ZEE5 after its theatrical release, with April 17 being the expected air date. However, the producers of the film are yet to make an official announcement confirming when it will hit the OTT platform.
The plot of ‘Assi’ focuses on courage and justice
The film tells the story of a woman named Parima, who is attacked by five men in a car. After this painful incident, Pannu’s character Raavi fights in a court to get justice for her. It is a courtroom drama that focuses on courage and justice. Apart from the main cast and supporting stars, Seema Pahwa, Naseeruddin Shah and Supriya Pathak make guest appearances in the film.

Meanwhile, in an interview with PTI, Taapsee said, “We are on the verge of becoming an extinct species, we refer to films like ‘Assi’. There is a certain model that our so-called commercial cinema follows, and conventionally we do not fall into that kind of model.”
