Rayo Vallecano will look to make successive wins in Spain’s top flight when they continue their campaign in Seville on Sunday night.

However, the Nervionenses have struggled in front of their own fans this season, collecting just 15 points in 13 games, conceding 19 times in the process.

Sevilla will look to complete a La Liga double over Rayo, having achieved a 1-0 victory in the reverse fixture between the two teams in September 2025.

Sevilla will welcome Tanguy Nianzou and Joan Jordan back into their squad following suspensions, but Gabriel Suazo will be left out, having picked up a significant yellow card in the Seville derby last time out.

Rubén Vargas and Marcao will miss the match through injury, while César Azpilicueta will need a late fitness test before his participation can be confirmed.

Coach Almeyda is expected to make changes for this game, with Isaac Romero and Chidera Ejuke potentially entering the team.

As for Rayo, the same could be repeated for the capital team due to their performance in the 3-0 win over Oviedo on Wednesday night.

Pathé Ciss is a slight doubt due to a problem that forced him to leave late against Oviedo, but the locals are confident that the midfielder will recover.

Diego Méndez, however, will miss the game due to injury.

Jorge de Frutos scored a double in the team’s last game and the Spaniard will start again in the middle this weekend.
