National Pi Day, which for many means the day of pie and food deals, is Saturday, March 14. Pi Day, every March 14, recognizes the “mathematical constant π,” which would be 3.14 (and endless numbers after that). Guinness World Records puts the most precise measurement of pi at more than 62 trillion digits, calculated in 2021 by the Swiss University of Applied Sciences, USA TODAY reported. For many, however, the day is about a different kind of math: food deals. “The day is celebrated by both pi enthusiasts and pie lovers,” said an announcement about it on the National Day Calendar website. Some restaurants in Westchester, Rockland and Putnam, as well as national restaurant chains, are offering deals on March 14. Here are some options.
