Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Dhar collector Priyank Mishra may become a Bhopal collector. Bhopal collector Kaushlendra Vikram Singh has been elevated to the post of secretary.

Priyank’s name was in discussion in September 2025 for the collector’s post in Bhopal. But Chief Minister Mohan Yadav decided to keep Kaushlendra for some more time in the state capital.

Later, the government stopped the transfer of collectors because of the SIR.

The government has again started collector transfer exercises. The transfer list was delayed as the chief secretary went on leave and there were difficulties in the distribution of LPG cylinders.

The government is working on the list. Mishra was behind the foundation laying ceremony of MP Mitra Park in Dhar without any problem.

Similarly, he got the credit for organizing Pooja and Namaz at Dhar on the occasion of Basant Panchami without any controversy.

Kaushalendra, who will go to the CM Secretariat, may get a bigger assignment.

The names of some women IAS officers are doing the rounds in the Bhopal collection. But the chances of one of them becoming a collector in the state capital are slim.

Collectors from districts other than those in Bhopal and Dhar are at stake.

The collector of Rewa, Sidhi, Umaria, Narmadapuram, Jhabua, Maihar, Sagar and Damoh can be changed.

The government is also considering transfer of divisional commissioners, department heads and secretary-rank officials.

Officials who have been working in a place for a long time and those whose performance is not adequate will also be transferred.
