Mangaluru: Rain accompanied by lightning and thunder lashed several parts of Dakshina Kannada, including Mangaluru city, on Saturday night.Areas like Belthangady, Ujire, Dharmasthala, Mundaje, Aldangady and Guruvayanakere received heavy rains. Strong winds damaged electricity poles in Ujire and Belthangady, leading to power outages in several areas. Heavy rain was also recorded in and around Sullia.In Mangaluru, waterlogging at the Thokkottu flyover caused inconvenience to motorists, while puddles on the Kallapu road slowed down the movement of vehicles.
