Stock Market Today: Indian equity benchmarks, Sensex and Nifty50, opened in the green in trade on Friday after a day-long decline on Thursday. While Nifty 50 went above 23,900, BSE Sensex rose by more than 400 points to cross 77,000. At 9:16 am, Nifty 50 was at 23,921.05, up 146 points or 0.61%. BSE Sensex was up 426 points or 0.56% at 77,057.50.Market analysts said easing tensions in the Middle East region and stable crude oil prices may provide some near-term support, but the durability of any recovery in the stock market will depend on clear signals from the US-Iran situation, trends in energy prices and improving liquidity conditions.US markets closed higher on Thursday as continued efforts to find a peaceful resolution to the six-week Middle East conflict helped ease concerns over the fragile US-Iran truce. All three major indexes recovered from early losses and closed in positive territory, supported by reports that Israel wants to negotiate with Lebanon.However, Asian markets saw only modest gains as investors remained cautious ahead of upcoming US-Iran discussions over the weekend amid uncertainty over the ceasefire.In commodity markets, oil prices rose in early trading on Friday after attacks on Saudi energy infrastructure and ongoing disruptions around the Strait of Hormuz raised concerns, even as a fragile truce between the US and Iran remains intact.Foreign portfolio investors remained net sellers, selling shares worth Rs 1,711 crore on Wednesday.
