When the color palette is more simple, which, I know, isn’t always my tendency, I start creating outfits differently. Between the layers – structure against softness, polish against spontaneity, masculine against femininity – the focus shifts from color to how everything actually works together.

Typically a fluid base, a skirt or dress that moves with the body rather than keeping it in place. Bias-cut, sheer, lightweight silk keeps the look from feeling too stiff or staid. Adding a tailored jacket, a sculpted corset, or a clean, architectural top changes the whole energy, defining the shape and creating contrast without taking away from that movement.

Texture becomes the main issue, especially in spring and summer content. Silk against linen, sheer cotton against fine knit, everything remains light, but each layer still feels its own. By keeping the palette tight, the focus naturally remains on cut, proportion and construction rather than color.

Accessories follow the same direction. Small bags, sculptural shoes, minimalist gold pieces – that’s what completes the look without seeming overwhelming. It all depends on how the layers sit together, and how each layer holds its place.
