With just four days left for the polls in the first phase of the West Bengal Assembly elections, political discourse in the state was abuzz on Sunday (April 19, 2026) over speculation that political consultancy I-PAC, which manages the Trinamool Congress campaign, has suspended its operations in the state.
While Trinamool leaders were quick to dismiss the speculation, there were reports from certain media outlets claiming that the I-PAC team in West Bengal had been asked to go on a 20-day leave. There was no response from I-PAC to reports of its suspension of operations.
