HOLLYWOOD—Another interesting episode of “From” began with this week’s episode, ‘Of Myths and Monsters,’ in which Jade, Donna, Tabitha, Boyd, Ellis and Henry tried to figure out why Victor was scared when he discovered the ‘Man in Yellow’s clothes. Yes, I agree with Henry, only he or Tabitha should talk to Victor to find out more secrets because Boyd doesn’t understand how Victor responds to pressure.
Henry made it clear that the paintings in his wife’s basement were JUST PAINTINGS, but now those things are manifesting in life itself. It was clear that Boyd and Donna were getting frustrated with the idea of ’The Boy in White’ explaining that they were running out of time. My theory about what you dream and think manifests in reality.
Sara wanted to talk to Sophia about what Kenny told her. Sara is seeing red flags with Sophia and her response was not good for me. After Sara started going down the stairs, she started to get a terrible headache, right after ‘Sophia’ started singing something.
Jade and Tabitha think Ethan’s theory about the Lake of Tears isn’t real, I don’t think so. Ethan was busy trying to contact Jim over the radio, which Tabitha asked her son about The Lake of Tears because she knew she wouldn’t believe it. Tabitha gave her son some peace of mind he wasn’t expecting as they planned a trip.
Randall and Julie continued to bond as they looked through Ethan’s books and discovered a story walker named Fred, but as they began to uncover clues, they were interrupted by Tabitha, who shared with Julie what was going on with Ethan. Tabitha wanted Julie to accompany them on their journey, but Julie wanted to continue her journey as a story walker.
Ellis didn’t want to leave Fatima and with whatever she was doing with Elgin, I wouldn’t leave her either. Kenny is in charge of the Colony House, while Donna, Ellis and a few others go harvesting food, and he is also accompanied by Tabitha and Ethan. Speaking of Fatima, they continued building piles of dirt, but it seems like even Elgin isn’t sure what he’s doing.
The most important person, Victor, was testing his theory about trees moving and time moving too fast, as Henry wanted to reflect on the “Man in Yellow.” Kenny saw a water leak from the top floor of the Colony House and discovered that room where Fatima was collecting dirt.
Jade took those mushrooms, as Boyd remembers happier times with his wife. Why now? Why after all this time does Boyd begin to think more and more about his wife? Elgin came face to face with Sara, while they were talking in the church about the visions they had had in the city that led them to do bad things.
Sara revealed that the voices are not done with her; They want her to go to the restaurant and pour a glass of water from the jug and then pour it back. Ok, that’s beyond strange, so Sara don’t listen to Elgin, it could lead to bad results. Sara connects the dots; This only started when Sophia came to live with you. They warned him that bad things will happen until he does what the voices demand.
Kenny and Boyd discovered that Fatima is making a mud monster, while the audience learned some things about her past and her father, who talked about destiny and the paths. Once again, everything in this town seems to scream DREAMS! Julie learned tips to use with her walking story by making a bookmark; By doing so, you can control where you go in the story to change it. Julie is right in my theory: whatever you dream, think, or fear comes true. The ‘Golum’ of Fatima is supposed to protect the people.
Donna and Tabitha talked, as Donna assured her that she is not alone and that she is by her side for anything she needs. Oh my god, I hope this isn’t a foreshadowing of Donna’s fate because I don’t think I can bear to lose her. Sophia continued to stare at the empty pool, while Kristi and Marielle chatted about her state of mind and her constant prayer.
Sara arrived at the restaurant where she saw the jug of water. She poured herself a glass of water, drank it, and was about to pour it back into the jug, but was interrupted by the Diner’s new operator who offered her the opportunity for a chance at redemption. Panic erupted when Sophia fell into the pool, but Sara sensed some bad energy. It became clear that Sophia was manipulating Sara into giving in to the voices’ demands, and she returned to the restaurant, drank the water, and then poured it back into the pitcher—phew!
Donna and company stumbled upon those strange objects that were used to scare away evil spirits. Julie decided to cut her hair to prevent the creatures from grabbing her, just as she and Randall returned to The Ruins. Ok, I don’t understand anything that’s happening, but I’m going on a wild ride. Randall was skeptical, but played along, and Julie returned to a point in the story where everyone in the town was dead, saw the Man in Yellow feasting on the people, and Randall took her out before the Man in Yellow could get to her. One thing I noticed was that the Man in Yellow was eating a liver, and it looks like he was feasting on Jim’s body based on the hair I saw.
The marker tool didn’t work, but in other news, Victor was digging holes next to the trailer and recovered a bag containing a bunch of drawings of the Man in Yellow. He arrived in a car like everyone else and realized that this guy was the person who killed Miranda, leaving Henry reeling, precisely where Julie had just ventured into the story.
Sophia worried Marielle and Krista by talking about religion once again. Sara got scared while waiting in the restaurant to see what would happen. The water spilled out of the jug/Fatima spilled and feels connected to ‘Smiley’. Oh, that’s not good. So, they are connected in some way, Fatima revealed that her monster creation is to feel less fear and “fight back”.
Boyd discovered her wedding ring at the Colony House, leaving him stunned to learn she had left it at the police station. Returning to the station, he searched his box and discovered that his wedding ring was there. So how come duplicates are now appearing around town? However, the ring disappeared when he looked for it.
While gathering food, Ethan, Tabitha, and Donna arrived near a lake. They tested the water of the injured bird. However, Roger discovered a very large rope that he began to pull, true, like something manifested in the water, which looked like branches, but I’m not sure. Is this the lake of years? Viewers will have to wait until next week to find out. Until then “From” fans.
