Maruti Suzuki’s new Brezza receives 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd has received a 5-star safety rating for both Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and Child Occupant Protection (COP) for its upcoming New Brezza vehicle, under the Bharat New Car Assessment Program (Bharat NCAP).

The model is scheduled to launch on July 24, 2026. It is equipped with several safety features including blind spot warning with lane departure warning, rear cross traffic alert, front parking sensors, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), emergency stop signal, safe exit warning, among others.

Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director and CEO, Maruti Suzuki India, said, “Brezza has been the best-selling compact SUV in India since 2016 and a preferred choice for millions of customers. This 5-star Bharat NCAP rating reinforces the trust that customers repose in the vehicle.”

The company’s portfolio of 5-star Bharat NCAP rated vehicles includes Dzire, VICTORIS, Invicto and VITARA.
