with love It almost does a lot of things right, and that’s mostly because it gives agency to all of its main characters. The choices of Sathya, Monisha, Balaji and Anisha are treated with respect, and even when it comes to their younger versions, it never infantilizes them. Of course, some issues are hastily resolved and others are conveniently closed. Fortunately, though, With Love, which controls the need to be just another launching vehicle, ends up being a romantic comedy that finds magic in chaos, butterflies flutter in the right place, and proves once again that love is mentally mental, indeed.
