It was a beautiful weekend in Central California, but prepare for a series of storms to hit the area this week.

From Tuesday to Wednesday, several feet of snow is forecast for Yosemite National Park, Lake Huntington and Shaver Lake. Some of the Foothill communities could also receive a few inches of snow.

Expect high temperatures to remain in the 50s all week across Central California before starting to dry out on Friday.

“I think we needed some rain,” Pedro Martinez said while playing golf in Madera County. “Definitely, good air quality is always good and green grass, green valley, green landscape. It’s all good.”

While others may need to prepare for power outages as we expect several days of this winter weather.

A strong wind has blown away a section of the roof of a Fresno County CAL FIRE station.

A strong wind has blown away a section of the roof of a Fresno County CAL FIRE station.

It happened at the Morton Avenue station near Sonoma Avenue in Tranquility on Monday afternoon.

Neighbors who witnessed the moment said a small funnel-shaped cloud hit the top of the fire station.

Photos and videos show pieces of the roof and other debris scattered across the fire station parking lot.

Action News has a team on site and will provide updates as they become available.

Water main break causes flooding in downtown Fresno; surrounding neighborhood without water

Shallow flooding has washed over the streets of Fisher and Olive Avenues east of First Street.

City of Fresno crews believe the flooding is due to a water main break, but are working to confirm the cause.

Olive is closed at Bond in both directions as crews turn off the water.

The surrounding neighborhood will be left without water.

It is unclear how many people will be affected.
