Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has announced on Monday, 14 April, which is Dr. BR Ambedkar’s birth anniversary. This day respects the legacy of Ambedkar, a chief architect of the Indian Constitution and a huge person in the social reform movement of the country.

The General Administration Department of Delhi has issued a notice on Thursday that it has been announced that in the National Capital Region of Delhi, all government departments, autonomous bodies and public sector undertakings will remain closed that day.

Most of Delhi’s public and private sector banks are expected to inspect the holiday. While customers will not have access to any material branches, they will be able to use digital services (such as ATMs, internet banking and mobile banking), which are in line with the previous public holidays.
