Arsenal news: Fans’ opinions on Ethan Nwaneri’s loan to Marseille

 & more related news here

We ask your opinion about Ethan Nwaneri’s loan to Marseille for the rest of the 2025-26 season.

Here are some of their comments:

Kay: Ethan needs minutes to stay alert and effective. Marseille is a brilliant and challenging environment, with a great coach and an intense fan base that would make anyone honest. As long as he gets minutes and, crucially, Arsenal don’t face an emergency injury situation in that position (unlikely), then this will be a great opportunity, possibly one that could earn him a place in England. Everyone wins.

John: He is a very interesting young talent, but excluded only because of the quality and size of the team. You can get playing time and come back as a more experienced player as you have a lot to offer!

Ryan: Yes, the boy needs playing time and France offers a good league and a good team to get it. After all, it worked out very well for Saliba. It’s a shame he hasn’t had more time for Arsenal this year.

However, some fans seem to think that Arsenal are losing depth with this Nwaneri loan.

Laura: I think this is a mistake, although it’s understandable why Ethan is tempted. We have assembled possibly our strongest team ever and are on the path to success. Odegard and Eze seem to be struggling for form, and if we lose one of them to injury it could prove disastrous not having such a good player to step in.

Yvonne: I feel sorry for the young man. I bet you feel disappointed and wonder if you would have signed the contract if you knew what you know now.

John S: It’s a good move for Nwaneri but a bad move for Arsenal. To compete in four competitions we need depth, and it will only take a couple of injuries or player fatigue and we will regret letting him go. I’m sure he’ll want to stick around to win a winner’s medal too.
