Aruna Irani and Farida Jalal were recently invited to perform as guests and watch the performances of the contestants on ‘Indian Idol’. The reunion of the two veteran stars after 53 years was greeted with much fanfare and celebration, including the contestants singing hits from their films. One such moment went viral after Irani, 79, started dancing to ‘Kaliyon Ka Chaman’, while Jalal joined her on stage. Not only that, but everyone on the set, including famous singer Shreya Ghoshal, egged on the stars and cheered loudly.

During the latest episode of ‘Indian Idol’, Aruna Irani and Farida Jalal came on stage as the contestants sang some of their hit songs. When the two veteran stars took to the stage in their best outfits, the judges and contestants couldn’t contain their excitement. Vishal Dadlani was seen whistling in the video, while Shreya Ghoshal cheered and booed the two stars as they danced to songs like ‘Kaliyon Ka Chaman’.
During the show, Irani mentioned, “Mujhe yahan aakar bahut bahut khushi hui, thank you and I love you all” (I am very, very happy to be here). They were also asked about their best friends during the show. While the ‘Caravan’ actress mentioned that she and Smitha Ji used to be best friends and Smitha Ji was a wonderful actress. Jalal, on the other hand, mentioned how the Bollywood industry gave him many beautiful memories, love and connections over the years.
