The upcoming Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake, called Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, will have no multiplayer or DLC, and the focus is on optimizing and delivering a single-player experience with the base content.

Ubisoft’s April 23 Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Showcase officially revealed Resinyced for the first time. He announced and revealed a lot of things, but one of the features that stood out above the rest was that the game will be a “purely story-driven adventure” and that Ubisoft wants to focus on Edward’s original adventure and nothing else.

No multiplayer or DLC in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynchronized

Developer Ubisoft has decided that Resynced will not have its original DLC or multiplayer, and will instead include new story elements, such as a reworked Animus and moments, and even a new action-focused combat system.

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is set to release on July 9, 2026, and there’s a lot to look forward to, including reworked Tailing Missions and the return of Matt Ryan for Black Flag Resynced.

Insider Gaming understands that at least one more Assassin’s Creed game is in development as a remake, and that future remakes will enter development depending on how well Black Flag Resynced performs, which, judging by the hype around the announcement, will likely be a success.
