Jannik Sinner and Madison Keys will look to keep their title defense alive when they play in the round of 16 of the 2026 Australian Open in Melbourne on Monday.

World No. 2 Sinner will face 22nd seed and fellow Italian Luciano Darderi, while ninth seed American Keys will take on sixth seed and compatriot Jessica Pegula.

Iga Swiatek, the second seeded Pole who is chasing the only trophy missing from her showcase to achieve the professional Grand Slam, will face local qualifier Maddison Inglis.

Former runner-up Elena Rybakina, the fifth-seeded Kazakh, will play Belgian Elise Mertens, the 21st seed.

Ten-time champion Novak Djokovic, who was initially due to play on day nine, will not be in action as his round of 16 opponent Jakub Mensik, the Czech No. 16, withdrew from the tournament due to injury.
