Bahrain’s state oil company, now under Bapco Energy, has declared force majeure for its shipments after a fire broke out at its refinery following the Iranian attack.
The state-run Bahrain News Agency announced force majeure – a legal maneuver that releases a company from its contractual obligations due to extraordinary circumstances.
It said the company’s operations “have been impacted by the ongoing regional conflict in the Middle East and the recent attack on its refinery complex”.
It stressed that local demand could still be met.
