The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the answer key of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2026 last week. The objection window for the provisional answer key has closed and candidates are eagerly awaiting their results. According to media reports, CBSE is expected to release the results of CTET 2026 soon. Once released, candidates can check their results on the official website, ctet.nic.in.
The CTET 2026 exam was held on February 7 and 8 in two shifts in 140 cities and 1,803 examination centers nationwide. This exam qualifies candidates for teaching positions in central government schools and other institutions. Although CBSE has not provided an official date for the announcement of results, historical trends suggest that results are usually released within two weeks of the closing of the objection window.
Steps to check CTET 2026 result:
1. Visit the official website of CTET: ctet.nic.in.
2. Click on the CTET Result 2026 link on the home page.
3. Enter your payroll number and date of birth.
4. Click submit.
5. Your dashboard will appear on the screen.
6. Download and save the PDF of the dashboard for future reference.
CBSE had to cancel CTET Paper-2 in certain examination centers in Bihar. The board announced on microblogging site ‘X’ that the exam could not be conducted at two centers in Bihar – Vaishali (Hajipur) (125016 – St. John Academy, Basmati Nagar) and 125014 – Lakshya International Academy – due to unavoidable circumstances. The new exam was held on March 1.
Along with the results, CBSE will release the CTET scorecard, which includes the candidate’s name, marks obtained and pass status. Mark sheets and certificates for qualified candidates will be available through DigiLocker, which can be accessed using the login details sent to the registered mobile number. CTET certificates are now valid for life, meaning candidates will not need to retake the exam to maintain their teaching eligibility.
Candidates should note that passing the CTET does not guarantee a job. While passing grades qualify candidates for teacher hiring processes, they do not automatically guarantee employment. Selected candidates can apply for posts in Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas and other CBSE affiliated central government schools.
