Celia Kritharioti closed Paris Haute Couture Week with a collection as dramatic as her guest list. Titled “Frozen Eden,” the Fall 2026 show transformed the designer’s Place Vendome venue into a glittering, snow-covered fantasy, but the real spectacle began before a model hit the runway.
Scheduled for 10 a.m., the show started late by nearly an hour as photographers and editors waited inside the intimate space. Holdup? Jennifer Lopez. The superstar didn’t arrive until around 11 p.m., and when he did, paparazzi scrambled for a shot in the tight quarters, turning the front row into its own kind of runway moment.
Once the show finally started, it became clear that the wait, at least visually, was worth it. Guests sat on fake snow under trees that were dripping with icicles, a stark contrast to the real Parisian heat outside. Kritharioti’s concept follows an “eclectic game of hide-and-seek between shadow and light”, and the collection delivers on that promise scene after scene.
Models were channeling the ice-princess mood created for the cold climate by wearing crystal-embellished gowns, frosted lashes and faux snow-covered hair. Velvet, feathers and fringes ran through a palette of black, white, gold, teal and red, while some faces were adorned with jewelery in place of traditional make-up.
Sheer, lace-heavy silhouettes also made a strong showing, including a standout snake-inspired dress that talked the room. Silver-plate embellishments highlighted every step, and the drama extended to the runway—the snow was so deep that more than one model lost her shoes while walking.
The show concluded with snow falling in the finale, which was a fittingly dramatic farewell to a collection built entirely around the idea of a frozen fairy tale.
