Chelsea have been offered the opportunity to sign a 28-year-old midfielder who has plenty of Premier League experience.
As you may know, Chelsea’s recruiting ethos is youth-led. But those at the club assure us that this is only run by young people and not just by young people.
If there is a deal that makes sense for them financially, and the player is quality and will add something to our team, then there are no rules on how old said player is, and they will sign an “older” player if they believe it will add value, improve what they have, and make sense financially. Of course, there are many variables there.
They have now been offered the opportunity to sign a “senior” boss, but will he tick all the above boxes?
