Rajam, who was conferred with the Padma Vibhushan, and the family members of late film actor Dharmendra.The CM also congratulated renowned Ayurveda researcher and dedicated practitioner Dr Kewal Krishna Thakral for being honored with the ‘Padma Shri’ in the field of medicine.CM Yogi wrote, “His six decades of dedicated work, development of revolutionary techniques like ‘Karn Vedhan’ for the treatment of bronchial asthma and research work that gave global recognition to ancient Indian medical systems are invaluable assets to humanity.”CM Yogi said that it is a matter of great pride that Uttar PradeshRenowned kala-azar expert Professor Shyam Sundar has been honored with the ‘Padma Shri’.He wrote: “By developing the first effective oral medication for the treatment of kala-azar and rapid diagnostic testing, you have made a historic contribution to medical research and human service.”The CM also congratulated Dr Ashok Kumar Singh for being awarded the ‘Padma Shri’ for his outstanding contribution in agricultural science and senior physician Prof (Dr.) Rajendra Prasad for being honored with the ‘Padma Shri’ for his notable work in the field of medicine.The CM also congratulated Professor Buddha Rashmi Mani for receiving the ‘Padma Shri’ award for his notable contribution in the field of Indian archeology and cultural heritage preservation.The CM also extended his best wishes to the Paralympic gold medalist from Uttar Pradesh and the youngest high jump athlete to win consecutive Paralympic medals.
