In a shocking incident in Agra, a 38-year-old man was recently operated on by doctors after a one-litre plastic bottle was found lodged in his rectum.

According to health officials, the man had been suffering severe pain for almost 36 hours before his family took him to a private hospital.

As part of the patient’s examination, doctors ordered an x-ray, which ultimately revealed that a one-liter plastic bottle was trapped inside his rectum. After the diagnosis, he was immediately admitted to the emergency department for treatment.

Subsequently, a team of surgeons performed an operation and managed to remove the bottle after approximately one hour and ten minutes of surgery.

Senior surgeon Dr Sunil Sharma said the case was very delicate as the bottle had to be removed without causing serious damage to the intestine or rectum.

The patient remained under observation after the procedure. Doctors also performed a sigmoidoscopy to look for signs of internal injury or infection.

The patient remained under treatment for about four days and was discharged after doctors confirmed that his condition was stable and he could defecate normally.

Doctors said the patient suffered from a psychosexual condition known as anal eroticism. According to medical experts, people with this condition may engage in risky behavior with their private parts in search of unusual sexual stimulation.

Doctors also noted that patients in these cases often delay seeking professional help due to embarrassment, which can increase the risk of internal injuries, infections and other serious complications.

Experts emphasize the need for counseling in such cases to prevent a recurrence and address underlying behavioral problems.
