April was heavily involved in the season almost from day one. A few vacations with raffia bags, bucket hats, fluid dresses, and easy sandals set the tone early, and those resort pieces continued to find their way into my everyday at-home looks. Denim showed up in unexpected ways, with simple tees and flats, while a very special evening called for something else entirely, in a buttery yellow and embroidered gown with a pair of sculptural earrings and a crystal pavé bag. Colors and prints remained central throughout, only lighter at the bottom and more open to air. By the final week my daily looks felt closer to early summer than spring, and what was left in the rotation felt perfect for where we’re headed next.
