It comes after Newcastle were awarded a free kick instead of a penalty when the ball clearly hit Lucas Digne’s arm in the area.

Elsewhere, a surprise could come when Louis Reed put Mansfield ahead after a well-worked goal made the score 2-1 with around 10 minutes remaining.

“I am very lucky to have such talented players and what I am quickly realizing is that they are not just good players, but excellent professionals.

“I felt like tonight was a really professional performance against a very good team that is fighting for the Premier League.”
