The case began in June 2022, when thirteen Farmers entities – including Farmers Texas County Mutual Insurance Company, Mid-Century Insurance Company and Farmers Insurance Exchange, among others – filed a federal lawsuit against a collection of chiropractic clinics, pain management centers, clinical facilities and individual physicians in the Southern District of Texas. The defendants included First Choice Accident & Injury, LLC, Houston Pain Relief & Wellness Clinic, LLC, Celebrity Spine & Joint, LLC, Origin MRI & Diagnostics, LLC, and several medical doctors and chiropractors.
