La Marigold dress, For Love and Lemons headscarf, Marigold skirt, and Goldie sunglasses on Amazon
Lately, getting dressed has become a two-step process. I’ll make something, and within minutes one of my daughters will be there – “I want a daughter like that.” Then the second one follows. Before I know it, we’re all getting ready with the same idea. The same direction, just smaller, a little brighter, and with their own spin on it. It made me realize how useful the pieces I have access to now are for all of us.

Headscarves, on repeat
It has been extraordinary. I’m constantly wearing lighter scarves – crochet, soft cotton, a little vintage print – and now they both want their own. Tied under the chin, worn like a headband, or falling slightly until mid-morning. It works every time.
Easy Dresses with Shape
Loose, airy dresses have been my default – like this green polka dot dress with a little volume through the sleeves. It’s simple, but it still feels like something. They’ve naturally gone for the same idea: simple dresses with smocking, puff sleeves, or soft A-line shapes that move.
Spring prints I keep reaching for
Polka dots, soft florals, a subtle plaid – they’re on constant rotation. They appear in everything from dresses to skirts, and always feel right this time of year.
The extra things they always go for
– Beaded sandals (colorful, always)
– Small embroidered or drawstring bags
– Fun sunglasses that feel a little retro
