Saurabh Netravalkar’s transition from Silicon Valley to success in cricket has captivated many. Despite starting his IT career in the US, the former India Under-19 cricketer did not give up on his sporting dreams. A documentary, ‘The Long Game: Saurabh Netravalkar, Between Two Worlds’, produced by Pierre ‘Pyare’ Friquet, chronicles his inspiring journey. The film captures Netravalkar’s remarkable experiences both in the technology industry and on the cricket field, including the pivotal ‘Super Over’ that secured the United States’ victory.
At 34, Netravalkar now has his eyes set on participating in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, hoping the American team will qualify as hosts. Balancing his IT career and sporting ambitions, he attributes his analytical skills in technology as a key advantage on the cricket field.
