Hyderabad: With just two days left before the property tax payment window closes on March 31, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has released the names of six major defaulters whose tax dues have been pending for several years.
The GHMC authorities took the step of publicly identifying these top defaulters as part of efforts to recover pending property tax revenue. The move comes as the civic body intensifies its drive to collect pending property tax dues before the approaching deadline.
The names mentioned include Sri Lakshmi Gayathri Hotels (Rs 6.16 crore), Aurora College, Nampally (Rs 1.28 crore), Goshamahal Sarna Transport (Rs 43.78 lakh), Sony Centre, Goshamahal (Rs 39.68 lakh), Shameem Sulthana Cloth Mall (Rs 35.27 lakh) and Synfosys Business Solutions (Rs 17.94). lakh).
GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan advised property owners to pay property tax dues online through www.ghmc.gov.in portal, MyCURE app, Mee Seva centers and citizen service centers to avail the One Time Scheme (OTS) opportunity.
