Gold prices eased on Tuesday as traders decided to cash in on recent gains, reflecting soft sentiment in overseas markets. The pullback ended the strong rally in bullion seen in the previous session.The benchmark contract on Multi Commodity Exchange slipped to Rs 1,30,266 per 10 grams. The futures for February 2026 also fell at the same level with a fall of Rs 386 or 0.3 per cent. Trading activity remained steady, with 13,413 lots changing hands during the session.Domestic weakness is in line with price fluctuations in global markets. December gold futures on Comex slipped $20.1, or 0.47%, to close at $4,219.2 an ounce.Analysts attributed the improvement to traders reducing their positions after bullion hit multi-week high. “Gold fell to $4,210 an ounce on Tuesday as investors booked profits after prices hit a six-week peak in the previous session amid rising expectations of a US interest rate cut next week,” said Jigar Trivedi, senior research analyst at Reliance Securities.The price of yellow metal today in your city is as follows:
