Felix Auger-Aliassime (4)one of the favorites along with Alexander Zverev who still remains in the competition, will face Flavio Cobolli (10) to open the men’s singles quarterfinals on Wednesday.
The Canadian eliminated Alejandro Tabilo, 6-3, 7-5, 6-1, in the previous round to advance to the round of 16, while Cobolli defeated the American Zachary Svajda (6-2, 6-3, 6-7, 7-6) to set up this appetizing tie.
After that, there will be an all-Italian clash between the unseeded Matteo Berrettini and his namesake Mateo Arnaldi in the other quarterfinal.
The winners of these matches will meet in the semifinals of Roland Garros.
