Grange names CDO with $18 billion distribution track record
Grange Insurance Company has named Christa Conte (pictured, center) as chief delivery officer – a role Grange’s chief property and casualty officer Ryan Mitchell described as critical to the company’s future growth. This appointment brings distribution experience on a scale that far exceeds Grange’s own book. Conte most recently led insurance operations at AAA Club Alliance, generating nearly a third of the club’s revenue and serving more than seven million members. Previously, he led distribution at Farmers Insurance, overseeing $18 billion in gross written premiums across personal insurance, life insurance, retirement products and brokered business, growing the average agency size to $1.8 million during his tenure. Earlier in his career he spent 16 years at Allstate, including as field vice president for the California region, overseeing more than $3 billion in premiums and 900 agencies and leading disaster response in one of the company’s most complex markets. Mitchell said Conte’s experience leading both career and agency operations made him the perfect fit for the role.
