The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has opened a new application link for candidates who qualified in UG-NEET for admission to medical courses but have not yet applied for UG-CET. The application window will remain open until July 24.

A separate link will soon be provided for candidates who applied for UG-CET earlier and are eligible after NEET results to link their NEET roll number with the CET application. However, those who have not yet applied can do so again now.

H. Prasanna, CEO, KEA, said, “These students will be allotted seats taking into account their rank in the NEET exam for admission to courses including Medicine, Dentistry, Ayurveda, Unani and Homeopathy courses. Non-Karnataka candidates can also register on the KEA portal and pay the fee. They also have to upload their Class XII mark card while registering on the KEA portal. They do not have to come for document verification.”

Clarifying who should come for document verification, Mr. Prasanna said, “Citizens of India overseas, persons of Indian origin, non-resident Indians and foreign candidates, and if non-Karnataka candidates are eligible for religious minority or NRI district seats or specific seats in St. John’s Medical College; such candidates must reserve a seat and come for document verification on the dates allotted by KEA. The dates will be announced later.”
