The General Education department on Friday announced the results of the senior secondary first year (Plus One) examinations held in March 2026.

According to official sources, 4,10,190 students had registered for the exam. Of them, results of 4,04,722 candidates were tabulated and published after excluding absentees and pending cases. A total of 2,50,981 students secured more than 30% marks, taking the overall pass percentage to 62.01%, compared to 60.76% recorded last year.

Among the three major streams, Science recorded the highest pass percentage of 66.98%, with 1,26,622 students securing more than 30% marks out of 1,89,046 whose marks were tabulated. Commerce followed with 63.68% as 78,004 students out of 1,22,502 evaluated candidates passed. Humanities recorded a pass percentage of 49.76%, with 45,656 students passing the exam out of 91,753 whose marks were tabulated.

The technical higher secondary stream recorded a pass percentage of 49.19%, with 699 students scoring above 30% out of 1,421 candidates tested.

In the regular school category alone, the overall passing percentage was 63.51%, while Open School candidates recorded 41.23%.

The release of detailed results, originally scheduled for 3 pm, through the official exam website (results.hse.kerala.gov.in), has been delayed due to a nationwide cyber attack on government websites. However, soon the portal was available for students to view their exam results.
