Just when the sports world thought it had heard all the stories about Kobe Bryant, his former teammate Lamar Odom shared one that he says crosses over into the afterlife. In a rare interview, the two-time NBA champion said he once had a dream in which Bryant seemed to deliver a haunting message from beyond, a moment that startled him awake and left him wondering what the late Lakers legend could have meant.

Talking about the DOUBLE COVERAGE3 On the podcast, Odom said: “He (Kobe) just stopped. He looked at me and said, ‘Hey, the afterlife is not what people imagine.’ And then I woke up shortly after that. And that made me think, what is he trying to say? Like, you know, it could be, he missed everyone, you know. That can mean a multitude of things. Maybe he’s still traveling, you know, wherever he needs to go or wherever he needs to get to. I don’t know. meant, but I take it as, you know, live your best life now.”
