I went to Tank vs. Tyrese Verzuz and connected with comedian Lala Millan and publicist Linda Luna, just planning to enjoy the show. Next thing I know, Monae, who manages Tyrese and was involved in the production of the show, saw us in the crowd and politely invited us on stage. Apparently they needed some seat fillers? Who knows. This was an unexpected but fun surprise.
There were plenty of highlights and fun moments at Verzus, including Tyrese opening his set with Chingy.Calling me back,” To know that Tank is the creative genius behind hits like Alia’s song“Come to meet me.” And “Regret,” Which Letoya Luckett had come to present. The tank even took out Jamie Foxx! Tank and Tyrese delivered hit after hit, delivering a mix of nostalgia and crowd favorites that kept the audience engaged throughout.
