We ask for your opinion later Saturday’s Premier League match between Manchester City and Sunderland.

Manchester City fans
Harass: Far better. Keeping Nico González turned out to be a good decision as we need him in midfield. Erling Haaland disappeared a little, but it is more than allowed. We should not depend on a single person and he is unconditional for us. Send Lyon another £30m as Rayan Cherki is a great player and very selfless. I don’t think we’ve been tested enough to know if our defense has improved, although Ruben Dias almost gave them a gift if it weren’t for Gianluigi Donnarumma. In short, a comfortable overall victory against a respectable and classy rival.
Mauritius: Better material, but in defense we are not sure. Because? Well, our two full-backs are forwards and that carries a risk.
Freddie: City were excellent in both defense and attack. It’s great to have a clean sheet after Fulham and Leeds and Phil Foden is in top form at the moment, I hope this season is similar to 2023-24 for him. Cherki was also very good; that attendance will be remembered for years to come. Two points behind Arsenal, so the title race is on!
sunderland fans
Rum: A terrible performance. Without mordant, without intensity. I think their minds were on next Sunday’s game.
Ian: A curiously passive first half performance from Sunderland that saw City establish a 2-0 lead. In a much improved second half, Sunderland came close to reducing the deficit, but the game revolved around three events: Donnarumma’s point-blank save after Dias had lost possession, Granit Xhaka hitting the post and Foden dampening Sunderland’s enthusiasm with a header that hit the crossbar. The final score looks pretty complete, but it doesn’t do Sunderland justice.
Antonio: We were defeated by a better organized team and never got into the game. I felt sorry for Luke O’Nien – he deserved a red card, but the VAR (who runs the game these days) decided it was a red card. I would feel the same if I were a City player.
