Auto sales in India remained largely stagnant in March 2026 amid early signs of a slowdown due to the war in West Asia. According to analysts, demand for automobiles of all shapes and sizes was broadly strong due to policy support driven by the festive environment, favorable base effect and sustained growth due to the GST rate cut in September last year.
