03:00 CET – World number one Aryna Sabalenka is now one game away from completing the Sunshine Double after beating Elena Rybakina 6-4, 6-3. It’s a second win over the third seed in two weeks after coming out on top in Indian Wells.

This time, Sabalenka had a more fluid performance, losing only five points on her first serve. Breaking Rybakina four times in eight tries, she prevails to now face Coco Gauff in Saturday’s final.

02:15 CET – Aryna Sabalenka takes the first set against Elena Rybakina 6-4, bringing her one step closer to reaching the final of the tournament. After exchanging breaks early on, the world number one managed to break her Kazakh opponent in the final service game of the set to take it.

01:35 CET – The final match of the night will see a replay of the Indian Wells final, as Aryna Sabalenka takes on Elena Rybakina. What a match this will be, with the winner taking on Coco Gauff in Saturday’s final.

01:20 CET – In what was a clinical display, Alexander Zverev booked his place in the semi-finals of the Miami Open after beating Francisco Cerundolo 6-1, 6-2 in just over an hour. The world number three converted four of his seven break opportunities, winning 84% of points on his first serve. Next up for him will be Jannik Sinner.

00:40 CET – That was an excellent first set by Alexander Zverev, who beat Francisco Cerundolo 6-1. The German did not face a break point in his four service games, winning the first five games.

23:41 CET – We don’t have to wait long for more action from Miami…

Alex Zverev returns to the quarter-finals this year after an early exit in 2024, where he will face the in-form Francisco Cerundolo.

The Argentine pulled off a major upset in the third round, beating Daniil Medvedev, before beating Ugo Humbert to seal a place in the last eight.

They are also evenly matched, with both winning three of their six meetings.

21:39 CET – Coco Gauff was at her best to defeat Czech star Karolina Muchova and book her place in the Miami Open final.

The fourth seed needed just 90 minutes to dispatch the 13th seed, winning the match 6-1, 6-1.

Muchova struggled with her second serve throughout the match, winning only 20% of the points.

Gauff will face either Aryna Sabalenka or Elena Rybakina in Saturday’s final, with both taking to the court around 01:30 CET tonight.

20:05 CET – The players are on court for the first women’s semi-final, as Coco Gauff and Karolina Muchova prepare to fight for a place in the final in Miami, which would be the first time for both.

Gauff leads the matchup 5-0, so Muchova will need to find a way to live up to this matchup.

16:00 CET – Welcome back to our live coverage of the Miami Open, on a day when we will meet the women’s finalists, as well as the final men’s semi-finalists.

The game starts at 18:00 European timeAs world number two and tournament favorite, Jannik Sinner looks to continue his phenomenal form at the Masters 1000 level when he takes on local favorite Frances Tiafoe.

Sinner has won 28 straight sets at Masters events, breaking Novak Djokovic’s 10-year-old record. Tiafoe now stands in his way as he looks to complete the Sunshine Double (winning in both Indian Wells and Miami).

In the other men’s semi-final, the only other top 10 seed left in the competition, Alexander Zverev, will face Francisco Cerundolo.

If Zverev beats Cerundolo, he will face Sinner in a rematch of their semifinal in Indian Wells about two weeks ago, which Sinner won convincingly. However, Cerundolo has been excellent in Miami, beating the in-form Daniil Medvedev to get here.

The head-to-head is locked at 3-3 between the two, but Zverev has won his last three meetings after initially struggling against the Argentine.

In the first women’s semi-final, fourth seed Coco Gauff will face Karolina Muchova, as both players look to reach the final in Miami for the first time.

Gauff has an extremely dominant record against Muchova, winning all five of their previous meetings, also quite comfortably.

However, Muchova is a player in fabulous form and won her first 1000 event earlier this year in Doha. He’ll come into this contest with confidence, especially considering Gauff isn’t playing that well right now.

The main event of the day comes in the second semi-final, when defending champion and world number one Aryna Sabalenka takes on Elena Rybakina in what is currently the best rivalry in women’s tennis.

Sabalenka leads the matchup 9-7 and won their last meeting in an absolutely thrilling Indian Wells final. However, Rybakina won the previous two meetings, triumphing in the finals of the WTA Finals and the Australian Open.

It’s a wonderful rivalry between two players who hit the ball very hard but in a slightly different way. Sabalenka exerts maximum effort and applies topspin, while Rybakina hits the ball so flat with icy ease.
