Mumbai: The city woke up to another pleasantly cool morning on Friday, with a minimum temperature of 18.4°C. This follows a steady drop throughout the week, giving the city a brief taste of winter conditions. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the Santacruz observatory recorded a minimum temperature of 18.4°C, 3.2 degrees below normal for this time of the year. Meanwhile, the Colaba observatory recorded a low of 22.6°C (1.1 degrees below normal), indicating that the cooling trend was felt in both the island city and its suburbs.Daytime temperatures remained close to the seasonal average. The IMD reported maximum temperatures of 33.8°C in Colaba and 33.3°C in Santacruz, slightly below normal by 0.3°C and 0.6°C, respectively.For the weekend, the meteorological office predicts clear skies over the city and suburbs. Maximum temperatures are expected to be around 33°C, while minimum temperatures are expected to be close to 19°C, keeping the mild winter sensation intact for a little longer.
