The Warriors will welcome the Eastern Conference-leading Pistons to the Bay Area on Friday night.
Since Jimmy Butler’s devastating season-ending ACL tear, Golden State’s rotation has been all over the place, with players in and out of the lineup as Steve Kerr tries to find the best fit.
Amid all the lineup chaos, a young wing has established himself as a key piece of the Warriors’ new reality.
Moses Moody, who has been in and out of Kerr’s rotation throughout his five-year NBA career, appears to be gaining ground with Butler out.
In five games since the injury, Moody has averaged 24.2 minutes per game, which would be a career-high in a full season, but scoring is where he’s really improved.
Moody has averaged 15.4 points per game during that stretch, trailing only Steph Curry’s tremendous scoring output for the Warriors with his fellow superstar off the court.
Last time out, Moody dropped 26 points against the Jazz on 9-of-15 shooting and 5-of-9 from three-point range.

Over the last month, Moody has become a sniper from deep, shooting 46.5 percent at high volume.
In 14 games in January, Moody has hit multiple 3-pointers in all but four contests.
Bet on the NBA?
Detroit has a tough defense, but much of its strength is found down low, where big men Isaiah Stewart and Jalen Duren roam.
With Butler leaving a scoring void and shooting becoming a strength for the Arkansas product, expect Moody to hit on this scoring prop.
THE PLAY: Moses Moody More than 11.5 points (-125, FanDuel)
