Mumbai: Nykaa’s net profit more than doubled on a consolidated basis to Rs 67.7 crore in the December quarter from Rs 26.4 crore in the year-ago quarter. Revenue from operations rose to Rs 2,873.2 crore from Rs 2,276.2 crore in the year-ago period due to strong consumer demand for beauty products and growth in fashion. In a filing to the exchanges on Thursday, the company said it posted the highest ever consolidated GMV (gross merchandise value) in the third quarter at Rs 5,975 crore, a growth of 28% year-on-year. GMV is the total value of goods sold through an e-commerce platform. It is calculated before fees and expenses are deducted.
