Chahal has become the latest victim of the fake video, which falsely showed him in a compromising situation with two women. As AI has become increasingly sophisticated, the Internet and social media platforms make it easier to manipulate videos and fake content can spread quickly, which can eventually cause serious reputational damage.

In recent times, deepfakes and AI-generated ones have increasingly targeted public figures, raising concerns about misinformation, cyberbullying, and the need for stricter laws and regulations to protect reputations and prevent misuse.

Chahal fake video generated by AI

As Yuzvendra Chahal prepares to face Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2026 clash in Chennai, the PBKS spinner trended online, with the deepfake video spreading quickly before it was confirmed to be fake.

In a video that went viral, Chahal was seen with two women, one of them in a compromising situation, in what appeared to be a compromising situation, but it was later confirmed to be a fake AI-generated clip. The stadium setting shown in the video was completely made up, which adds to the deception.

Yuzvendra Chahal married Dhanashree Varma in December 2020 and their marriage lasted four years before the couple officially divorced in March 2025.

Thereafter, Chahal was reportedly dating radio host and social media personality RJ Mahvash, and the two are often seen together amid ongoing speculation, although neither has officially confirmed their relationship status. However, the two unfollowed each other on social media, reigniting speculation about their current status.

X removed Chahal’s fake AI video

Yuzvendra Chahal’s AI-generated fake video with two women sparked outrage on social media, with many demanding action against the user for spreading fake content and causing reputational damage.

After massive outrage over spinner Punjab Kings’ AI video, X took action by immediately removing the clip and removing the fake content from the platform, following widespread public backlash.

“Due to local regulations, this content is restricted to X,” the platform stated.

Yuzvendra Chahal has not been part of India’s white-ball setup since his last T20I appearance against the West Indies in 2023. Chahal was part of the India team that won the T20 World Cup in 2024, but did not play a single game.

The veteran spinner was the second highest wicket-taker for the Punjab Kings in IPL 2025, with 16 wickets, including two four-wicket hauls, at an average of 26.87 and an economy rate of 9.55 in 14 matches.
