Franck Queudrue spent nine years in English football, playing for Middlesbrough, Fulham, Birmingham and Colchester, but months before leaving youth club Lens in 2001, he produced one of the most iconic own goals of all time.

In a Ligue 1 match against Bastia, the left-back attempted a volley clearance 30 meters from his own goal.

Queudrue connected magnificently with the ball, but in the completely wrong direction to launch it over his own goalkeeper.

For a defender who only scored 28 league goals in his entire career, he is probably a candidate for one of his best goals, even if it is into the wrong goal.
