The first annual examination for II PU students began on Saturday at 1,217 examination centers across the state. On the first day, the Kannada and Arabic language exams will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

All the examination centers were packed, parents were dropping off their children and students were busy with last-minute preparations.

A total of 7,10,363 students from 5,174 PU colleges in the state have registered for the exam conducted by the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB).

To avoid malpractices, KSEAB webcasts the examination process from all centres. The Board has maintained tight police security at all examination centres. Prohibitory orders have been imposed in all examination centres.

Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) and other public transport corporations have provided free bus services for II PU students.
